As of January 27, 2023, These are the requirements to become a Remote Online Notary in the state of Utah.  First off, you already need to be a commissioned notary through the state.. If you want to become a remote online Notary in Utah, you’ll need to follow the steps below.

  1. Fill out the Application Form
  2. Select a Utah State Approved Remote Notary Vendor
  3. Increase your existing notarial bond to $10,000 of coverage. A notary can contact the Utah SoS if they are unsure who they’re bonded through.
  4. Obtain Electronic Seal/Signature (this is available free through BlueNotary)
  5. Submit your Application, bond rider, and PDF file sample document containing your electronic signature and seal to [email protected].
  6. Pay the $50.00 application fee. Your Payment instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Lt. Governor’s office has reviewed your submitted documents.
