As of January 27, 2023, These are the requirements to become a Remote Online Notary in the state of Utah. Here’s how to become a remote online notary in Utah.
- Fill out the Application Form
- Select a Utah State Approved Remote Notary Vendor
- Obtain an additional $5000 notary bond rider from your surety company ($10,000 total). A notary can contact the Utah SoS if they are unsure who they’re bonded through.
- Obtain an Electronic Seal & Signature (this is available free through BlueNotary)
- Submit your Application, bond rider, and PDF file sample document containing your electronic signature and seal to [email protected].
- Pay the $50.00 application fee. Your Payment instructions will be sent via email as soon as the Lt. Governor’s office has reviewed your submitted documents.
- Receive confirmation & approval from the state!
